Parent Organization

At YCIS Silicon Valley, we treasure our parents and the help and support they provide to the school. Parents play a key role in campus life and have myriad volunteer options.

At YCIS, we partner with parents to develop a close and cooperative connection between home and school. Parents have myriad opportunities to volunteer with both school-initiated and parent-organized events. Thanks to the constant support and involvement of parents in our school life, YCIS students experience a welcome, inclusive school community that feels like home.

The YCIS Parent Organization (known as the PO) is the official organization representing parents’ interests at YCIS Silicon Valley. Partnering closely with school administrators, the PO plays an active role in community building by organizing many fun family events throughout the year such as Movie Nights, camping trips, the Book Fair and the Family BBQ Picnic. The PO galvanizes parent volunteers, organizes Room Parents who coordinate class-based extracurricular activities with teachers, assists in school fundraising, and so much more.
