Children’s picture book author, Christina Matula, shared her story The Shadow in the Moon with elementary students. The story recounts the legend behind the Moon Festival which is celebrated in China and other East Asian countries. After sharing her story, Ms. Matula spoke with students about being an author and the writing process. She answered many questions from her curious audience of budding writers. Two students share what they liked best about the visit in this short video.
